How do I make an appointment?

Please use my HIPAA- compliant and confidential number of 785-274-9855 to text me or you may send an email to me through the CONTACT page on my website. (My email is not listed due to spam.)

What are your hours? How long are sessions?

I offer counseling Monday – Thursday 9:30 – 4:15 (last session at 4:15). Sessions are  45 or 55 minutes long.

What ages do you provide counseling to?

I provide therapy to those ages 25 and up.

How can I pay for my sessions?

At the time of scheduling an appointment, you received a link to the CLIENT PORTAL. You may provide a credit or debit card account number. I accept Credit/Debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards.

What insurance do you take?

I accept Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS). If you do not have BCBS I can provide a statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What is your payment policy?

Payment is due at the time of service. This includes self-pay and those utilizing insurance. Please view the Counseling Policies and Informed Consent section in the CLIENT PORTAL for more details.

What is your confidentiality policy

I will not share your personal information without your permission. There are, however, exclusions which include immediate risk or threats of harm to yourself or others, as well as abuse of children or elderly persons. Also, I can not guarantee confidentiality when I submit a claim to your insurance company for therapy sessions. Please refer to Notice of Privacy Practices on this website.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide me with greater than 24-hours notice to cancel an appointment in order to avoid any fees. You may text me at 785-274-9855 to cancel.

Are you available in a crisis situation?

I do not provide crisis counseling services. I offer outpatient counseling services by appointment only. If you are experiencing a crisis after counseling work hours, I may refer you to contact either the Pawnee Crisis Center (Manhattan) at 800-609-2002, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988, or to call 911.

What is your business mobile phone number used for?

This number is used only for appointments (cancelling or scheduling). It is not used for crisis or emergency situations. You may also use this number to request a call back.

Do you allow pets?

The building that I provide services in allows Service Animals. Service animals are not emotional support animals.

How long does therapy take?

How long therapy takes is dependent on your specific needs and situation. In some cases an individual may find 3 sessions to be helpful, whereas another individual may need longer.

Do you provide Christian Counseling?

Yes, when requested I do provide Christian Counseling. I am sensitive and non-judgemental to all individuals regardless of spiritual/religious background (existent or non-existent).

Is a diagnosis required to bill my insurance?

A diagnosable mental health condition is required to bill insurance. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this process.

Do you provide a Good Faith Estimate?

Yes. If you do not have insurance, as a healthcare provider, I am required to give you a Good Faith Estimate. This document will be sent to you in your Client Portal.
